Equine Activities for the Military and their Families
Our Horses and Heroes Program addresses the issues faced by troops
returning from war with combat related trauma such as traumatic brain injuries and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD).
Many of these troops are facing stressed marital and family relationships and equine assisted activities help bridge
the gap between active duty military and civilian life.

The Wise Horse
Most people think of horses and riding as something they
did on a family vacation long ago but research has shown that horses are an invaluable tool in the therapeutic field.
Adults and children with physical, emotional, psychological and learning disabilities respond to equine assisted activities
in a remarkable way because it's done in a non traditional setting. Just having contact with these kind and gentle animals
puts the participants in a positive frame of mind. Our horses are very kind and wise and offer each participant
their full undivided attention and the bond that forms between horse and human is magical.
